April 12-14, 2013 – The Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia and the NGO Expert Center conducted a three-day “Support for Rural NGOs” training-session for representatives of eight Resource Centers from seven regions of Kazakhstan and Almaty in cooperation with Chevron.

Aleksandra Kazakova and Mahabbat Espenova from Public Fund “KAMEDA” were invited to lead the training. As a result of a three-day training-session, participants improved their skills in conducting training-sessions for an adult audience; acquired knowledge in organizational and administrative development of non-profit organizations, in particular administration of organizations, and strategic planning and financial instability of non-profit organizations.

August 28-30, 2012 – The first international training within the framework of the “Civil Sector Capacity Building Initiative in Kazakhstan” program supported by the Chevron Corporation in Kazakhstan. The training was conducted by Sandrine Delattr (NGO Management School, Switzerland), an internationally recognized trainer with sixteen years of work experience in international humanitarian organizations. Participants included experienced trainers from Atyrau, Kyzylorda, South Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, and East Kazakhstan regions. The training took place at the International Academy of Business.

May 28, 2012 – The Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) along with the support of Chevron Kazakhstan announced the creation of the NGO Expert Center under the International Academy of Business (IAB). The agreement of cooperation with the International Academy of Business was signed within the framework of the “Civil Sector Capacity Building Initiative in Kazakhstan” project with support of Chevron Kazakhstan.
